I finally finished the Log Cabin blanket for my doll but I haven't gotten around to taking a picture of it yet. It is 13" square and I crocheted a little scallop border around it. I wove in all the ends on the back.
I also finished my second mitten last week.
My mentor from church and I are going to knit prayer shawls for some people at our church. Today I went to Hobby Lobby (with my parents) and bought 3 skeins of Lion brand Jiffy in a purplish color. We're going to start them on Wednesday after the lenten church.
I finished the top band of my Quinn bag and I'm currently on row 7 of the first repeat of the body of the bag. I was on the last repeat of the top band when I realized I had crossed a cable the wrong way on the first row of the 12 row repeat! So I had to frog the 12 rows of that and redo it! That was annoying but I'm glad I caught it before it was too late.
My Wicked sweater is about 10 1/4 inches long from the underarms. I'm going to make it about 11 1/2 to 12 inches long because I like longish sweaters and the border at the end is about 1.25" so then the end length would be 12-13 inches long which would be pretty good, I think.
I only had 3 days of school this week and four last week!! Last week we had extremely cold wind chills (30 below zero) so we got a "cold day". It was really really boring because I had no one to do anything with and I didn't feel like knitting. This week it snowed 16 inches in 24 hours so we had a snow day. I stayed in my pj's all day! It was awesome! Then I didn't have school on Friday because they had some reading convention thing. I slept from 12:30 am on Friday to 11:15 am on Friday. Then I made myself real oatmeal on the stovetop. (real meaning oatmeal from the cylinder box and not the little packets). Then I added dried fruit (craisins, cherries, blueberries, strawberries), cinnamon, brown sugar, and a little bit of syrup. It was delicious and it kept me full the whole afternoon!

A mitten!
Sorry, no pictures yet. My camera's batteries needed to be charged. x.x The pattern is Elegant and Easy Mittens from the One Skein Designer book. I used Cascade 220 Superwash in some blue color and size 4 needles. I started it on Tuesday and finished it tonight (minus weaving in ends/blocking). I had a lot of time to knit since I had finals and I got out of school at 11:15 and 11:20 on Wednesday and Thursday. I really like the pattern because it is very simple. I've tried on the mitten numerous times to check fit and it fits very nicely and it is also very warm. I'm going to start the next one tomorrow (I promise. I will try to not get SMS (second mitten syndrome)). I also finished my Foliage hat. I added 5 rows of ribbing so it would cover my ears better.

I got a $25 French Knots 2 gift certificate for Christmas. We went there last Saturday and I bought 2 hanks of Malabrigo Chunky in Indigo, 1 hank of Malabrigo worsted in Purple Magic, and Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock Multi in Lucky Stripe. Everything was 30% off so I got all of that for only $16. The mmmm chunky is going to be used for the Anthropology Inspired Capelet and the worsted is becoming a Foliage Hat from knitty.

Today my mom and I and some people in the Cedar Grove library knitting group went to Ruhama's in Milwaukee to go yarn shopping and then we went to Cheesecake Factory and Trader Joe's. At Ruhama's I bought 1 skein of Opal Feelings sock yarn. It is really pretty!! We ate lunch at the cheesecake place and then we got 1 piece of strawberry cheesecake to go and my parents and I just split it and it was soo good! Cheesecake factory is expensive though. The cheesecake we got was $6.95 for 1 piece of cheesecake!!
I'm also working on a baby kimono for a relative's new baby girl. It is very easy. I started it on Wednesday I think.

Blogger is being a butt and not letting me post pictures so pics will come tomorrow or later today. [edit: we have pictures!! yay!]

Socks and stuff
Here's a pic of the baby socks. I've been busy with school and Christmas stuff so I haven't had time to post pics. The pattern is the Ruffle Rib socks from Better Than Booties baby socks from Interweave Knits. The yarn is Dale of Norway Baby Ull. The socks are for my mom's cousin's baby who was born on October 21.
This is my progress on my Wicked sweater. It is kind of halted right now because my Options cable broke. The little metal part that connects to the cable and then you screw the needle tip into, came off. I haven't had time to switch it to the other cable that I have.
This is Molly's Blankie of Many Colors from Mason Dixon Knitting except the pattern is called Joseph's blankie but it is for my doll. Since this picture I've gotten a few more colors on it.
This is my Nine Patch Dishcloth from Mason Dixon knitting. It was very easy. I like the mitered squares.
This is my dog Jasmine. She is very cute although sometimes she barks too much.
I won sock yarn from the contest that I posted about in my last post! I won pink/green All Things Heather sock yarn. It is so pretty!
Tomorrow is the Christmas party at my LYS! I just made Nestle tollhouse chocolate chip cookie dough. I'm going to make the cookies tomorrow because I didn't have time tonight. I can't believe Christmas is in 6 days! Actually less since it's almost Thursday.
