Sock Yarn!
My grandma came today and I forget why but she brought me a skein of ONline Supersocke 100 Summer-Color sock yarn. It is color #792. I don't have a picture yet though. I almost finished the right hand of my Fetching fingerless mitts.

FOs
I finished the June Mid-Month KAL.
I also finished the left hand of my pair of Fetching handwarmers except I need to do the thumb and weave in the ends. It fits very well. I only cast on 35 stitches instead of 45, which the pattern says to do, since I made a swatch with 40 and it was too big. To prevent Second Fetching Syndrome I already started the right hand one.

Fetching!
Today we had to go to Grafton so then after we went to the Grafton Yarn Store. I bought 2 skeins of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in color #601 (light purple). It is soo soft! Then I needed needles so I bought some size 6 bamboo dpns. I paid for it all with my own money that I earned while babysitting a few weeks ago. I am making Fetching from knitty.
http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer06/PATTfetching.html It says to cast on 45 stitches but I made a swatch in the round with 40 stitches and it was practically falling off my wrist. Then I tried 30 but that was kind of tight. Finally I tried 35 and it was perfect. So then I cast on and started knitting it during a free outdoor band concert that my sister was in. Right now I'm doing the 5 rows of 4x1 ribbing.
I really like the yarn store we went to today. They had Noro Kureyon for making booga bags, and also they had lots of sock yarn but I didn't really look at that. I wish it was closer. It is about 40 minutes away from me.
I got really frustrated with the Mid-June KAL for the Monthly Dishcloths group on yahoo. I almost frogged it and gave up but I kept going. I got frustrated because it looked crappy but then I started to see the pattern more so I didn't frog it. I have 1-2 more pattern rows and then the border and then I'm done. I started it using what was left of a skein of Sugar and Cream yarn in Painted Jewels and ran out partway through so I started using my solid purple S&C yarn.

Socks
In May I knitted my first sock. It's from the North Country Cotton baby sock pattern and I used my Lion Cotton Ease. Then about a week ago I made a pair of wee socks. (!!) I love miniature things. I think they are so cute!!! We visited a LYS today to see what they had and they have sock yarn. (Bahr Creek Llamas and Fiber Studio in Cedar Grove, WI)
