Socks and stuff
Here's a pic of the baby socks. I've been busy with school and Christmas stuff so I haven't had time to post pics. The pattern is the Ruffle Rib socks from Better Than Booties baby socks from Interweave Knits. The yarn is Dale of Norway Baby Ull. The socks are for my mom's cousin's baby who was born on October 21.
This is my progress on my Wicked sweater. It is kind of halted right now because my Options cable broke. The little metal part that connects to the cable and then you screw the needle tip into, came off. I haven't had time to switch it to the other cable that I have.
This is Molly's Blankie of Many Colors from Mason Dixon Knitting except the pattern is called Joseph's blankie but it is for my doll. Since this picture I've gotten a few more colors on it.
This is my Nine Patch Dishcloth from Mason Dixon knitting. It was very easy. I like the mitered squares.
This is my dog Jasmine. She is very cute although sometimes she barks too much.
I won sock yarn from the contest that I posted about in my last post! I won pink/green All Things Heather sock yarn. It is so pretty!
Tomorrow is the Christmas party at my LYS! I just made Nestle tollhouse chocolate chip cookie dough. I'm going to make the cookies tomorrow because I didn't have time tonight. I can't believe Christmas is in 6 days! Actually less since it's almost Thursday.

Almost done w/ the baby sock
I just finished the gusset decreases on baby sock #2. Hopefully I will finish it tonight but that probably won't happen. I will for sure finish it tomorrow. This sock went much faster than the first one. I only had to frog this one once, after the first row because I cast on 90 stitches instead of 88. The first sock I had to frog at least three times because I messed up. Actually I had to frog the heel flap numerous times because the heel wasn't turning out right. Turns out, for some reason I had one less stitch on the heel flap than I needed. So I just did a M1 and it solved all my problems. I even did the toe and kitchenered it at the lys knit night the other week! pretty neat! I'll have pics tonight or tomorrow I promise.

Long time no post!
I haven't posted since November 7th!! I've been knitting a lot this month. Since my last post, I've finished:
1 baby sock
AG doll cardigan
AG doll shrug
9 patch dishcloth
Falling Water Scarf for my AG doll
I'll have pics up tomorrow, I have to charge the batteries for my camera.
I just entered this contest: http://janevdoviak.blogspot.com/2007/12/300-post-contest.html It is a contest for her 300th post! The prizes are pretty neat.
I'm a little farther on my Wicked sweater. I have one round left of shaping and then I enter Stockinette Island where I get to just knit, knit, knit for 11 inches or possibly longer because short shirts bother the crap out of me ugh!!!

Ballband Dishcloth in One Day!
Yesterday sometime around noon I cast on for a ballband dishcloth using maroon and cream colored Peaches N Cream yarn. I finished it last night. That's a record for me. I just kept knitting and suddenly I was done. Of course, the ballband dishcloth is a very simple pattern, but still. Now I am making a Woozy cloth in Victorian Christmas Peaches N Cream. I love this stitch pattern! It is so cool looking. Sometime I am going to have to make the Breeze socks from knitty. They have the stitch pattern in the Woozy cloth, except on a sock! I'm trying to get my WIP count down to about two projects but I have about five right now haha.

A few months ago I found the Quinn bag pattern, but I was like ZOMG SO MANY CABLES ACK! But now, I really want to make it. We'll see if I get any money for Christmas so I could buy yarn for it at my LYS. Then I would probably bring it to school, except they probably wouldn't like it. My school has this really stupid rule that says you can't carry any bags or purses that are big enough to hold a textbook, but people do anyway. They cracked down on it a few weeks ago, but now people are still bringing big purses. My purse right now is this one in Capri Melon. Like a ton of people have vera bradley purses at my school. ANYWAY, I don't think a 9" square purse could hold a normal sized textbook.

Finished my socks!
I finished my socks on Wednesday. They fit perfectly. Last night at my LYS I bought some Dale of Norway Baby Ull yarn for baby socks. I think I'm addicted to knitting socks.
I finished the Saturday Market Bag a while ago. I added a garter stitch flap with a button so it would stay closed. I also made a strap with my sister's spool knitter. I don't like making icords.
Here's my progress on the Wicked sweater. I'm on the raglan increase stuff right now. It really isn't that bright of a blue but you can blame the camera for that.

Sock
I'm almost done with my sock! I would have it finished by now but things keep happening. 1) I forgot my sock chart when I went to the knit night at my LYS on Thursday so I didn't know how many stitches I was supposed to end up with after the toe decreases. 2) We went to Oshkosh because they were having a scholarship recognition night and I brought it along to work on in the car. I forgot what kind of decreases I was supposed to do on the instep and I forgot the sock chart again. x.x 3) I forgot the 4th needle when I was going to work on it on the way to supper yesterday. It's very frustrating but I think I have it all figured out now.
20 stitches after the toe decreases
k1, slip 1, k1, psso, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog k1
and i found my 4th needle.
I can probably finish it today except that my dad is having me do all these chores (mowing the lawn etc) and he is going to pay me $25 to go towards horse camp next year so that will take a while plus I have homework. But it doesn't take too long to do toe decreases on 44 stitches.

I was so mad on Friday because I was going to get up at 6:00 am to watch Knitty Gritty since we just got cable, but when my alarm clock went off I just turned it off and went straight back to sleep and woke up at 8:30. Then I went back to sleep and slept until 11:30 which caught me up on sleep that I lost getting up at 6:00 am to watch Uncommon Threads the day before. And we forgot to tape Knitty Gritty too. :(

Felted the Cell Phone Cozy!
I felted the cell phone cozy the other day but I felted it one more time yesterday since I could still see the stitches. It came out the perfect size!
Post-Felting Dimensions:
Height: 4.5"
Width: 3"
Height with flap open: 6.5"
My sister almost forgot it in the car when we took her to college today! My mom sewed on the button.
I turned the heel on my Cascade Fixation ankle sock.
I have this sweater that I bought from Kohls last year and it is like a knit sweater and it has a pocket but the sewing around the pocket that holds it on keeps like undoing itself so it is breaking I guess. Then I saw the Wicked sweater pattern http://www.zephyrstyle.com/catalog/item.cfm/2367447/3974522 and I was like I could make myself a sweater like the one I bought and it wouldn't break. So I will probably make the Wicked sweater sometime in the near future with KP Swish Superwash since the Artyarns Supermerino yarn is pretty expensive if I'm going to need like 8 balls of it for a sweater.

Some FOs and my dog
While I was at horse camp, my sister bought a skein of Lion Brand Wool in Ocean Blues. I made her a cell phone case and I'm going to felt it today or tomorrow. I had a pattern that I saw that was something like this but I can't find it again. I cast on 36 stitches on size 9 dpns and knit in stockinette for about 6 inches. Then I cast off half the stitches and made the flap and I did a whole bunch of k2tog's until I had 3 or 4 stitches left. I also made a small buttonhole on the flap. Then I sewed the bottom up.
Pre-felting dimensions:
Height without flap: 6"
Height with flap: 8 1/4"
Width: 4"
I made a Cupcake Critter yesterday! I found the pattern here. I made it with SnC cotton in some pink color. I forget what it is called. It is crocheted.
Tomorrow we are getting cable so I can watch Knitty Gritty on Friday! I will also be able to watch all the horse racing that's on ESPN like the Breeders Cup! I was so mad when they switched it from NBC to ESPN because we only ever had basic cable but then I got my grandparents to tape it for me. I also have a few random pics of my dog Jasmine on my bed. They are pretty cute. You can read her blog here. She doesn't write that often, but it is interesting anyways.

I finished my socks!
I finished the second sock yesterday! It fits perfectly like the first one does. The stripes on them match almost exactly. Today I also knitted a mini sock out of my sock yarn since I have a lot left. It is so cute and I finished it when we were at Applebees for supper since it can fit in my purse.
I also made an apple. I still need to make an icord stem out of brown yarn but it is otherwise done. The pattern is from here: apple
My sister just learned how to crochet! Today she made a little bird. The pattern is from here: bird
We went to Michaels twice today! The first time was to get a size G crochet hook and size 6 needles. Then later we found the other G crochet hook that we thought was lost. The second time was to get an F crochet hook and plastic googly eyes for the birds my sister is crocheting.
I also have a little bit on my Cascade Fixation ankle socks.
If anyone saw the last post before I deleted it, I was in a really bad mood when I posted it. I was mad because I was having problems with my sock. I thought it was long enough to start the toe decreases but it wasn't so I had to frog it a bit. I got it all figured out though. Then I didn't know where my camera was so I couldn't take pics of my socks.

My second sock is on to the foot portion now. I hope to finish before the knit night at my LYS tomorrow so I can show everyone my finished pair of socks. They think I'm a child genius or something because I'm already knitting socks and stuff and I'm only 15. I'm the youngest one at the knit night.
Last week I was at horse camp. It was really fun. I went to Hoofbeat Ridge Camps in Mazomanie, WI for the Adopt a Horse Week. I adopted a cute pony named Star.

Sock 2 update
I had to frog what I had done of the second sock (like 3 rounds) and then I started again and I messed up again! But then I looked closer and found my mistake. Instead of doing knit 2, purl 2, I accidentally did purl 2, purl 2. It's all fine now and I have approximately an inch on it now. :)
Sock
I finished my sock today! It fits really well. I started the second sock but I think I messed up the ribbing so I will have to start over. x.x It is taking forever to start this second sock!
I started a ballband dishcloth yesterday and I will probably finish it tonight. I'm using SnC in Playtime and Black.

Dishcloths and Sock
I redid the Wisconsin dishcloth pattern with cotton yarn just so I could see if it would look better since I can knit better now. I ran out of the purple yarn halfway through so I switched to robin's egg blue yarn.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/minihorsegrl/IMG_0445.jpg
I'm on to the foot of my sock. I've been procrastinating and starting other projects so I am still on the first sock of the pair.
In April I made a dishcloth for a yahoo group called Monthly Dishcloths. It is called Diamond Drop Lace and mine looked completely different from everyone elses. Today I redid a little bit of the pattern in pink/white yarn. I got a big (12oz) skein of it at Michaels for $2! It still doesn't look perfect but it looks better.
the blueish one is the one I did in April.
